“OUSSS” is a word coined by KOO JEONG A in the mid-1990s. It is energy and matter, existence and the universe, a world, and an engine that sparks questions. OUSSS now permeates Leeum Museum of Art. In the lobby and on the ceiling, behind and beyond walls, and between displays of traditional Korean art, it exists not only in visible forms but also as magnetic forces, light, sound, scent, and occasional flickers and luminescence. Because OUSSS cannot be defined, it is continually reinterpreted through your own observations and chance discoveries, unfolding in your own time.
Leeum Museum of Art is curious about your interpretation. We gather and share these interpretations here.
